Piarists and Lipník (1634-1884) - religious clerics and their influence on the town with a focus on educational activities

The diploma thesis Piarists and Lipník (1634-1884) - religious clerics and their influence on the city deals with the order of Piarists from their arrival in Lipník in 1634 until their departure in 1884. The introductory part presents the city of Lipník nad Bečvou, to which the order of Piarists was called . Many historical events took place in Lipník nad Bečvou, which ultimately led to the important step of calling the order of Piarists. In the next part, the diploma thesis discusses the Piarist order, its beginnings, structure and important personalities, describes the college, the church and the novitiate, which was part of the monastery house. I also support the information with foundation documents or other sources. I tried to outline how we remember Piarists nowadays. The thesis also includes a comparison of photos of the church and the dormitory from the 20th and 21st centuries. We have also preserved accounts and protocols for the rebuilding of the church, everything is part of my work. In the diploma thesis, you will also find a description of the events held in the last 20 years, which have a connection to the past of the order. I dedicate the second half of the work to Piarist education. I substantiate this, among other things, with the memories of two students of J. G. Mendel and F....

"Being close to another person, being with them, that's the most important thing - in love, in life and in dying." Being close to another person is a basic and easily attainable need for a healthy person. Spending time with either our family relatives or friends is actually quite simple for the majority of us. Foremostly, we just put our work aside and sit on a bus, train, or plane and after a certain period of time we can be together with our closest loved ones. However, for the families with disabled children it is not that easy. If the family finds itself in a difficult life situation, often the simple “being around” might be challenging. For this particular reason, my thesis proposal aims to create a safe place for all of those who could possibly end up in a such situation – children hospital where a person can be available for a help any time needed.

Vyhodnocení účinnosti čistírny odpadních vod v Lipníku nad Bečvou

The thesis "Evaluation of the effectiveness of the wastewater treatment plant in Lipník nad Bečvou" compares the effectiveness of wastewater treatment before and after the plant reconstruction. This work is comprised of the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part applies overview of the water law legislation, sewerage, types of wastewater and concrete methods of wastewater treatment. The practical part is focused on wastewater treatment in the city. Included is the transport of wastewater, description of treatment technology before and after plant reconstruction. Follows the graphical results of wastewater treatment plant load, analytic wastewater checks and effectiveness of the WTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant) in years 2005 and 2015. The results show that the original wastewater treatment technology was, according to compliance with the emission standards, insufficient. For this reason, complete WTP reconstruction followed. From the current WTP results, it is evident that the hydraulic load is at 50 % average, but it is overloaded with the substance. Despite this fact, WTP maintains its high effectiveness in pollution elimination. The levels of pollution on the WTP output do not exceed the values of the emission standards and limits.

The church of Saint Francis Serafin in Lipník nad Bečvou

The main theme of this bachelor thesis is the piarist church of Saint Francis Serafin located in Lipník nad Bečvou. At the beginning the social conditions of the town will be introduced and the influence of Francis of Dietrichstein, who brought piarists there, will be mentioned as well. The aim of dissertation is to set the church's features into a wider context of contemporary artists who worked for the order, and iconographic analysis of interior which was created in order to represent The Piarists. The content of this thesis is to study the strategic plan of town Lipník, which is handled by the method of analysis of the current situation, evaluate the potential of the area, the limitations, the determination of requirements and suggestions of the area. The resulting proposals are defined as long-term strategic objectives, medium-term objectives and short-term objectives into concrete activities.

Studie protipovodňové ochrany vybraného úseku řeky Bečvy

The bachelor thesis bears the title "A study about flood control in a selected section of the Bečva River". It deals with the anti-flood measures applied on the watercourse of the Bečva River, which is situated along the cadastral territory of Lipník nad Bečvou. This work consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with a general description of the flood occurrence, the typical signs that define the course of floods and possible anti-flood measures. The practical part deals with the particularities of the area and the current state of flood control applied in practice. The sources of the research stem from documentation and field research, documented with photos of selected sections of the Bečva River. This study assesses the current state of flood control in the area as unsatisfactory, leaving a space for further projects and possibilities in the development of flood control management.
